Installation
Installation has two parts: the plugin itself (.aex) and the CEP panel. The
panel is optional — the effect works without it — but presets, Simple mode
and the Analyze Motion button live in it.
What you need
- Premiere Pro (Windows).
- The
NoiseEraze.aexplugin and the panel extension folder (the plugin author ships them as one build). - Administrator rights — plugin folders live in
Program Files.
1. The effect plugin
Copy NoiseEraze.aex into the Mxvd subfolder inside MediaCore:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore\Mxvd\
Create the Mxvd folder if it does not exist. Then restart Premiere Pro.
If the effect shows up in Effects twice — an old flat copy is still
lying around somewhere: MediaCore\NoiseEraze.aex (without the subfolder).
Delete it and restart Premiere. Projects are not affected: the effect's
names and parameters have not changed.
2. The panel
The panel installs like a regular CEP extension. Copy the extension folder
(com.noiseeraze.panel) here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\
The panel is not signed, so Premiere will not show it by default. Enable CEP debug mode:
- Close Premiere Pro.
- Open the registry editor (
regedit). - Go to
HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.<version>— for example,CSXS.11. The version number depends on your Premiere build; if the key does not exist, create it with your CSXS version number. - Create a string value
PlayerDebugModewith the value1. - Start Premiere Pro.
The panel opens from the menu Window → Extensions → NoiseEraze.
3. Verification
Open Premiere and make sure everything is in place:
- Effects → an Mxvd folder has appeared in the effect list, and inside it — Noise Eraze. Drag the effect onto a clip: the effect's rows will appear in Effect Controls.
- Effect Controls → the first row is the Controls popup with the modes
Simple | Advanced | Debug.Advancedis the default. - The panel opens from Window → Extensions; its header has the mode button
(
Simple/Advanced), the Draft button and the "?" button, which opens this documentation.
If the effect is not in the list — go back to step 1 and check the path and the
file name. If the panel does not open — check PlayerDebugMode and the path
to the extension folder.
Updating
Replace the .aex in MediaCore\Mxvd\ with the new one and restart Premiere.
The panel updates the same way: replace the contents of the extension folder.
Effect settings in existing projects are preserved.
